Discover Scuba Diving

Are you curious about the underwater world but not quite ready to commit to a full scuba diving course? Then the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is just what you’re looking for! At Dive Center Scuba Do, we offer you the chance to explore scuba diving in a safe, relaxed, and fun environment no certification required. 

Our Discover Scuba Diving experience takes place right off the beach at Jan Thiel, in the calm, crystal-clear waters of our beautiful house reef. No boat needed, no stress, just your very first dive experience at one of Curaçao’s most stunning locations.

Under the guidance of a qualified and experienced PADI Instructor, you’ll first learn the basic principles of scuba diving. We’ll explain the essential safety rules, show you how to use your scuba gear, and teach you how to communicate underwater. Next, you’ll practice a few simple skills in shallow water to get used to breathing underwater and to build your confidence.
Once you’re comfortable, we’ll take you on your very first real dive! Together with your instructor, you’ll explore the vibrant house reef, filled with tropical fish, coral formations, and maybe even a sea turtle. We will dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters (40 feet), depending on your comfort level and ability. Everything is done at your pace, in a calm and supportive setting.

While Discover Scuba Diving is not a full scuba certification course, it’s the perfect first step. After your dive, you’ll receive a PADI Discover Scuba Diving certificate, valid for two weeks. During this time, you can join additional guided dives (repeat Discover Scuba Diver) without having to redo the theory or skills. Ideal if you want to see more or relive that magical feeling again. 

For many people, this first dive is the spark that ignites a passion for the ocean. Who knows it might just be the start of your scuba journey!
