PADI Drift Specialty

The PADI Drift Diver Specialty course teaches you how to effortlessly glide along with ocean currents while exploring the reef. It feels like flying, except you’re underwater using scuba equipment. Drift diving can be both relaxing and exhilarating, offering a completely different way to experience the ocean.

During this course, you will learn the techniques and procedures needed for safe and enjoyable drift diving. Your instructor will guide you through essential skills such as buoyancy control, navigation, and underwater communication while diving with a current. You will also practice staying close to your buddy or remaining together as a group while being carried along by the water movement.

Throughout two drift dives, you will gain hands on experience in managing your position in the water, maintaining awareness, and using proper drift diving techniques to stay safe and in control while enjoying the ride.

The PADI Drift Diver Specialty course is open to PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers or higher who are at least 12 years old.

After successfully completing the course, you will earn your PADI Drift Diver Specialty certification and have the skills and confidence to safely enjoy drift dives around the world.

• Duration: 1 day, 2 dives
• Group Size: 4 divers per instructor
